Life at Citizens Advice Haringey

Created by Lynn 6 years ago

We were all so deeply saddened to hear about the loss of our dearly beloved Geoffrey.  He started with Citizens Advice Haringey in 2008 as a Gateway Assessor and then being determined to campaign for the rights of people he started to work as our campaigner.

He did a magnificent job and in particular chasing the staff and volunteers for case studies and evidence in order to support his campaigns. He never tired of his work and had many a successful campaign, from Scams Awareness, Energy Best, Benefit issues, Council Tax issues, doing our Cabeach to school uniform drives only to mention a few!

In 2016 Geoffrey was awarded the Longest Serving Volunteer for Campaigns and Research a well deserved award. We were all very proud of him.

Geoffrey was sensitive to clients and collegues needs, he has mentored a strong new team for our Campaigns and he will not be forgotten for that. His legacy will reign with us now dedicating an Award for the best Volunteer of the Year, so Geoffrey you and your work will never be forgotten.

From everyone at Citizens Advice Haringey we send our deepest sympathies to Geoffrey's family and friends but also thanks for allowing us to have such a dedicated member of our volunteer team with so many happy memories.

Rest now Geoffrey, with lots of love and fond memories from

Lynn Hannah on behalf of the Trustees, Staff and Volunteers
